The Heart of Hospitality
SCRIPTURE
"And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having favor with all the people." - Acts 2:46-47 (ESV)

REFLECTION
The family of God is built around tables. The early believers didn't just meet in a formal temple setting; they met in their homes. Opening our homes is a vulnerable and powerful act of humility. It moves relationships from the surface level to a deeper, more personal connection where honesty can flourish. It's in the ordinary moments of shared meals and conversation that we truly get to know one another. Hospitality isn't about having a perfect home; it's about having a willing heart. A generous spirit creates an atmosphere where others feel seen, valued, and loved.
PRAYER
Lord, give me a glad and generous heart. Remove any fear or pride that keeps me from opening my home and my life to others. Help me see hospitality not as a burden, but as a beautiful opportunity to build Your family and display Your love. Amen.
TODAY'S STEP
Invite someone over for a meal or a cup of coffee/tea this week. It doesn't have to be fancy. The goal is connection, not performance. If you can’t join around the table, find a place out in God’s creation and go for a walk together. Remember, this is about connection.
