Love isn't always easy and agreeable. A true family is committed to each other's growth, and sometimes growth requires loving correction. This is where journeying in honesty and humility is truly tested. We need brothers and sisters who love us enough to gently point out our blind spots and challenge us to live more like Christ. This is never to be done with pride or judgment, but always with a heart of love, humility, and a genuine desire for the other person's best. These honest conversations are difficult, but they are a profound expression of true family commitment.

Father, give me the courage to speak the truth in love when needed, and the humility to receive it. Help me to always be gentle and restorative. Build relationships around me that are strong enough to handle the weight of truth, so that we can all grow up into the fullness of Christ. Amen.
